Sherri L. Hansen, 45, of Green Township, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg. Born in Denville, Sherri moved to Green Township in 1975. She was a 1985 graduate of Newton High School and was employed as the Assistant Court Administrator in Green Township for the past 14 years. A member of the Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church, Sherri and her husband, Chris, were also married at the church. She was active in the Girl Scouts and had a tremendous love of animals. The daughter of the late William Bradley, Sherri is survived by her husband, Chris, with whom she has been together for 28 years; her two daughters, Britton Hansen and Sommer Hansen, both at home; her mother and father, Britta Decker and husband, Richard, of Green Township; her siblings, Christi Pena, Cathy White, Ricky Decker, Steve Decker, and Jamie Decker; nieces and nephews; and her stepmother, Sharon Bradley. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church, 1 Yellow Frame Road, Fredon Township. Interment will follow in Yellow Frame Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton. Memorial donations may be made to Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church, 1 Yellow Frame Road, Newton, NJ 07860 for Sherri's Children, Britton and Sommer Hansen or to BARKS, Inc., (Byram Animal Rescue Kindness Squad), P.O. Box 593, Stanhope, NJ 07874.
