Robert James Reid, age 95, of Rocky River, Ohio, loving father of Robert James Reid, Jr. of Canton, Ohio, Blythe Robyn Houghton (George) of Rocky River, Ohio, Brent Cameron Reid of Cleveland, Ohio, and Brenda B. Rego of Wadsworth, Ohio; dear grandfather of Candace Vitale (Chris), Ian Reid, Patricia G. Baker, Ivy Reid, and Alex Lewis (Brandon), and great-grandfather of Anthony A. Canterna; dear brother of Jean Funk (Art) of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; former husband of Ida Charlotte Reid of North Olmsted. Mr. Reid was a United States Army Horse Cavalry Veteran of World War II. He worked for many years in sales for U.S. Truck Lines, and was an avid golfer who was in charge of the Senior Men's Golf League at Sweetbriar Golf Course in Avon Lake. He passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110. No visitation scheduled. Cremation by Busch Crematory. Private family services to be held.
