Ricky D. Eason
April 15, 1967 - November 17, 2012

La Grange-Ricky Dale Eason, 45, of La Grange, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012. Ricky was born April 15, 1967 in Wayne County to Dalthia Wood Eason of La Grange and the late George Alvin Eason. Ricky grew up helping in the family business, Eason's Barbecue and later graduated from Eastern Wayne High School. For the past eighteen years, Ricky has worked with the North Carolina Department Of Transportation in Lenoir County and was the owner/operator of Eason's Lawn Care. Ricky worked hard in all his pursuits, whether it was buying and repairing older homes, fishing, swimming and in earlier years, hunting.

A service to remember Ricky's life will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 7 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with Rev. Sherman Guthrie officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery, La Grange.

Ricky is survived by his mother, Dalthia Wood Eason; two sisters, Brenda Eason Kearney and husband, Larry of Snow Hill, Connie Eason of Wilmington; special family friend, Colleen Waters of La Grange; niece, Amy Tripp and husband, Richard, and their children, Wayne and Daniel of Snow Hill. In addition to his father, Ricky was preceded in death by a brother, Danny George Eason; maternal grandparents, C.W. and Cynthia Wood; and his paternal grandparents, George and Eliza Eason.

The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service of remembrance and at other times they will be at the home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com.
