Patricia "Skipper" Lape Bennett, 71, of Cabot passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Bennett; sons, Gary Bennett (Terri) of Little Rock and Mark Bennett (Kathy) of Carlisle; two grandsons, Reid and Graham Bennett; and step granddaughter, Anna Cooper and her daughter, Hayden.
Patricia was a graduate of Mount St. Mary's Academy, Little Rock University (now the University of Arkansas at Little Rock) and a charter member of the Chi Omega chapter at LRU. She taught high school in Carlisle and Pine Bluff for several years before becoming a homemaker.
Patricia will be remembered for; her love of animals (especially stray cats), her family genealogy research and research in Lonoke County, Arkansas, she was a long time member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and making really good baked goods for the Moose Lodge dinners and especially chocolate chip cookies.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local Humane Society.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 24th at 10:00 A.M. in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock.
