Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Pippen, age 71, of Crossett, AR passed away on January 20, 2013 at Ashley County Medical Center. She was born on December 7, 1941 in El Dorado, AR to her parents, Thomas Jefferson and Edna Irene Bowen Brumley. Liz had worked with her husband in the construction industry and after retirement worked as a cook in the school cafeteria. She enjoyed cooking and reading. Mrs. Pippen was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William J. Pippen and a sister, Lavern Rodgers.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, William C. Pippen of Crossett, AR; one son, Terry Pippen (Sarah) of Crossett, AR; two daughters, Taresia Ann Kenly (Eric) of Fairbanks, LA, Missy Mendenhall (Jamey) of Denver, CO; one brother, Harold Dean Brumley of Crossett, AR and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Watt and Bro. Ernest King officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
