Mary R. Briganti, 87, of Ravenna, formerly of Youngstown, died on Sunday, December 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.

She was born on May 9, 1925 in Washington, PA to Charles and Emma J. (Beddow) Drummond.

Upon the age of 18 she was a Rosie the Riveter for WWII in Longview, Washington. She loved sewing pillowcases for her beloved family members, but she also loved making pillowcases for friends and even strangers.

She is survived by her sons, John Billock of Warren, OH, William Billock of Ravenna, OH, Richard Briganti of Waterboro, ME, James Briganti of Fredericksburg, VA; her daughters: Linda Murphy of Ravenna, OH and Jean Ann Pasini of Warren, OH; Fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Nicholas Billock and Matthew Briganti.

Private family services will be ongoing. Arrangements will be held by Bissler & Sons Funeral Home.
