Martha Jane Mueller, 61, of North Olmsted, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 5, 2012, at Fairview Hospital, Cleveland. She was born in Lorain on December 1, 1950 to Calvin and Margie Burmeister. Martha Jane was raised in Avon Lake and graduated from Avon Lake High School where she enjoyed playing in the marching band. After graduation she gained her degree as a dental hygentist, a job that she really enjoyed. Martha then met the love of her life, Mark Mueller, and they married on October 7, 1972. They moved together to Washington D.C. and St. Joseph/Benton Harbor, Michigan, where they started their family.

Martha Jane got a lot of happiness out of life, she enjoyed cooking great meals for her family and friends, knitting special items for everyone she knew, fishing, ceramics, swimming, gardening, shopping and most importantly being a grandmother. She never met an animal that she did not like and would have started her own zoo had her husband and local zoning officials allowed it. She loved searching for hard to find Christmas toys and sharing sneaky-treats with her grandchildren and her many "adopted grandchildren". She was also involved with Eastern Star and she served as a Guardian for Job's Daughters. Marty was a lot of fun to be around and she never complained even when her body and health let her down.

Martha Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Mark, of North Olmsted; her son, Craig and his wife Tabitha, of North Royalton; and her daughter, Julie Jimenez, of Lakewood; her grandchildren, Michaela, Corey, Jared, and Nicole; her dear sister, Diane Lynn of Maryland; and her step-mother, Judy Burmeister. She also leaves many friends, cousins, and adopted grandchildren to deeply mourn her death. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Calvin and Marjorie Burmeister (nee Lewis).
