Marshall Nealy, 82 of Springhill, Louisiana died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at his residence in Springhill.
Marshall was born March 31, 1930 in Shongaloo, Louisiana to the late Ed and Leslie (Matlock) Nealy. He was a retired mill foreman for the International Paper Company and after retirement he was a Bee Keeper and was known as the "Honey Man."
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maxine (Wallace) Nealy, sisters Marzell Crouch and Thelma Pugh.
He is survived by his son Gary M. Nealy and wife Rita of White Oak, Texas; daughters Connie Nealy of Bossier City, Shelia Shirley and husband Bob of Atlanta, Texas, Kathy Harris and husband James of Haynesville; grandsons Shane Taylor of Bossier City, James W. Harris, Jr. of Haynesville, Bill Slack and wife Angie of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters Michelle Lyons and husband Jeff of Junction City, Arkansas, Carly Anderson and husband Turner of Texarkana, Texas, Sarah Moss and husband Justin of Lafayette; great grandsons Rylee Lyons of Junction City, Arkansas, Noah Harris of Haynesville, Will Anderson of Texarkana, Texas, Brady Moss and Jay Moss of Lafayette; great granddaughters Landry Taylor of Bossier City, Olivia Lyons of Junction City, Arkansas, Anna Moss of Lafayette, and Nealy Kate Anderson of Texarkana, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13th at Lewis Chapel with Bro. Buster Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at the Springhill City Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Springhill. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be James W. Harris, Jr., Bill Slack, James Harris, Bob Shirley, Turner Anderson, and Jeff Lyons.
