Manuel J. "Manny" Dutra died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the age of 83. He was born in Greenwich, CT on June 26, 1929, the son of Manuel and Henrietta Cunningham Dutra.

Manny served proudly in the US Army during the Korean Conflict where he received a Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal, and a Merit Unit Commendation. He married his loving wife Carol Ann McPhee on June 25, 1955 in Stamford, CT and lived in Yorktown Heights for over 53 years raising his family and working as a sheet metal worker with Local 38 in Brewster, NY. Carol Ann passed in 1995.

He is survived by his sons James (Lori) of Oxford, NC, William of Mohegan Lake, NY, Robert of Fishkill, NY, Richard (Marylisa) of Mahopac, and Thomas (Linda) of Gainesville, GA; his brothers James and William; his sister Henrietta "Cissie" Powell, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, 692 Rte 6, Mahopac, NY from 3-8 PM on Friday, November 30th. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1st at 11:15 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Shrub Oak, NY with interment to follow at Amawalk Hill Cemetery.

In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
