Leslie Jean Nelson (nee Liptak), 57 of Lakewood passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at ManorCare Health Services in Parma. Leslie was born in Cleveland on December 13, 1954 and graduated from Parma High School in 1972. She worked for the Department of Immigration and Naturalization at the Federal Building in Cleveland for 26 years. Leslie was the past president of the Rainbow Wranglers Dance Club she enjoyed fishing, painting, and sports and also took great pride in the American flag.
Leslie is survived by her sister Judy Gulley; niece Jill Lemanowicz (Bob); nephews Erik Klostermeyer (Sara), Chris, Rick (Denise), and Curt (Sue) Gulley; many great nieces and nephews; dear friends Laurie Sekeres, Johnna Bousquet, Micki Beran, Deb Sarver, Sandy Balzer, and many, many more. She is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Ruth (nee Darr) Liptak and sister Lynn Klostermeyer.
A memorial service to be announced and will be held at the Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Leslie's name to LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland, 6600 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, OH 44102.
