Larry E. Irwin age 72 of The Villages, Florida died Friday, November 16, 2012 at his home. He was born February 5, 1940 in Sabina, Ohio the son of the Late Gilbert and Eva M. Knedler Irwin. Mr. Irwin had been an educator for thirty years serving as a teacher, coach, counselor, assistant principal and principal for the Lakota Local Schools and had retired as the assistant superintendent of the St. Bernard-Elmwood Place schools. He is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Sauls Irwin, one stepdaughter, Pamela Woods of Orlando, Florida, one sister, Dorothy M. Bailey of Wilmington, one brother-in-law, Rodney Sauls of Hampton, Virginia and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Fred Irwin and one sister, Ramona Bradley. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20th at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Ohio. Mark Irwin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Troutwine Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg, Ohio. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting
