Kenneth Frederick Lehman, 79, of Marissa, IL; born January 27, 1933; passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at his home with his family by his side.
Mr. Lehman was a coal miner and retired from Peabody Coal Company after 38 years. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ; the United Mine Workers Local Union 1148; the American Legion Robert F. Arnold Post 172 and the Rod and Gun Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents – Roy and Viola, nee Triefenbach, Lehman. 2 grandson – Shannon Ray Cathcart and Kenneth Lee Ruester.
He is survived by his loving wife Delores "Lorrie" ,nee Richardson, Lehman whom he married on March 20, 1954 in Des Plaines, IL. 3 daughters – Michelle "Shelly" (Mark) Schneider of Pinckneyville, IL; Susan "Susie" (Gary) Stewart of Marissa, IL; Mitzi Ann (Scott) Jenkel of Pinckneyville, IL. His grandchildren – Ryan (Crystal) Cathcart; Jayci (Mark) Papenberg; Deric (Jess) Ruester; Dillon (Savannha) Jenkel; Danielle Jenkel; Deja Jenkel. His great grandchildren – Nolan Cathcart; Ashlyn Cathcart; Hayden Ruester; Kallie Ruester; Haven Jenkel. 1 brother – Robert (Ruby) Lehman of Marissa, IL.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Marissa First Responders; TIP Hospice or Friedens Memorial Fund.
Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 9:00am to 11:00am.
Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11:00am with Rev. Gail Geisel officiating.
Interment: Burial will be held at the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.
