Joyce E. Storrie, age 81 of Wakeman passed away on November 1, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born on March 13, 1931, in Bristolville, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Gladys Mahan of Bristolville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Baillie Storrie. She is survived by her four step-children and their families: Brian of Little Rock, AK, Noreene Storrie of New York City, NY, Rosemarie Storrie Walter of Ethridge, TN, and David of Elyria, eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Her close friend, Chico Lenhart also survives. Jim Mahan and his family, Margaret Mahan and her family and Carl Doershuk and his family share the sadness with the loss of Joyce.

Joyce was a member and organist of the Clarksfield Methodist Church, the long time secretary of Citizens Ambulance Service, a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, a school bus driver for the Firelands School District and a Laboratory Technician for doctors at the Carnegie Medical Building. By common consent, she was also the best apple pie baker.

Visitation will occur at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, November 4. Services will be held at the Clarksfield United Methodist Church on Zenobia Road at 11am on Monday, November 5. The family requests the donations be made to the Clarksfield Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
