Jimmy R. Farmer, age 79 of Clinton, went to be with his Heavenly Father January 2, 2013.He was a member and deacon of Second Baptist Church in Clinton and was also a member of the American Legion- Post 172.
Jimmy was currently employed by WYSH. He previously worked for the Clinton Courier for over 40 years and had owned the Farmer's Market in Clinton and the Anderson County Advertiser.
He enjoyed working in his garden and maintaining his yard but his most enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Fletcher, Sr. and Sarah Farmer; brothers, Roy Fletcher Farmer, Jr., Nelson Farmer and John T. Farmer, Sr.; sister, Louise Farmer Beets; great granddaughter, Destiny Keathley.

Christopher R. Farmer

Brother: Gene Paul Farmer, Sr. and wife Jo

Sister in-law: Juanita Farmer

Grandchildren: Derrick R. Farmer, Amber L. Farmer Roach and husband Travis, Kaitlin A farmer and fiance' J.B. Young

Great grandchildren: Ava R. Roach, J. Baylen Young, Darren Keathley, Cory and Katie McGuffey

Special niece: Jeanie Garrett

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Legion-Post 172 of Clinton.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 5th from 2-4PM at Second Baptist Church in Clinton. A Celebration of Life will follow with Bro. Gary Swaggerty and Dr. Michael Thompson officiating. Graveside service will be Sunday, January 6th at 3PM at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jimmy's nephews and Honorary Pallbearers will be Second Baptist Church deacons. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
