Memorial Service for Jimmy Carroll Kyzer, 67, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Pond Branch UMC with the Rev. Michael S. Bingham and Rev. Matthew Rucker officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 pm at the church. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Pond Branch UMC, 1913 Pond Branch Road, Gilbert, SC 29054 or to the SC Heart Association, 520 Gervais Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Mr. Kyzer passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Matthew and Gertrude Taylor Kyzer. He was a member of Pond Branch UMC, was a retired brick mason and farmer. Surviving are his wife, Annie Keisler Kyzer, sons, Danny Kyzer (Cindy) of Gilbert and Todd Kyzer (Ashley) of Lexington; daughters, Deb Tanner of Lexington and Wanda Amick (Tim) of Gilbert; brothers, Leonard, Gene Ray, Ted, and John Kyzer; sister, Ruth Oxner; 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Cooper Tanner, brother, Leffel Kyzer and a sister, Shelby Smith. The family would like to thank the Nurses on 4 Heart (too many to list, too few not to mention) at Providence Hospital and a special thanks to Dr. Leon Khoury.
