James "Jimmy" William Nickens, 57, of Chickamauga, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013. He had lived in the Chattanooga area for most of his life before moving to Chickamauga a few years ago. He loved to BBQ and enjoyed cooking for others, he also loved music, bonfires and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, William Nickens; two brothers, Mike & David and two sisters, Patsy and Susie.
Survivors include his mother, Billie Ruth Nickens of Kingsport, TN; his loving wife of 39 years, Gail Johnson Nickens of Chickamauga, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Tracy & (JR) Patten of Ringgold, GA; son, Chris of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; three brothers, Kendall Nickens of Fayetteville, TN and Mark & Richard Nickens both of Kingsport, TN; sister, Vikki Brooks of East Ridge, TN; three grandchildren, Samantha, Christiane and Austin and several nieces and nephews.
