Gerhard Paul Beduerftig, age 71, born August 31, 1941, passed away November 24, 2012. Mr. Beduerftig was a native of Germany and resident of Harvest, AL. He was a retired Southern Baptist Missionary with the Southern Baptist Convention. Mr. Beduerftig was pastor of Agapé International Church, Huntsville, AL. He served as a missionary in Belgium and Germany for 17 years, was a former pastor in New Orleans, LA at Airline Baptist Church, and was also formerly an engineer at Pratt & Whitney in West Palm Beach, FL. Mr. Beduerftig graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as graduating from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Theology Degree and Master of Religious Education.

Wife- JoAnn White Beduerftig of Huntsville, AL

Sister- Giesla Sprague of Ft. St. Lucie, FL

Preceded in death by parents, Hermann Fritz and Elly Tiedt Beduerftig

Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Jackson from 1:00 P.M. until the Service begins at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Bobby Burt officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Jackson, AL.
