BERENICE RITA ZIETLOW (nee Jirka), age 93 of Parma, beloved wife for 53 years of the late Earl C.; loving and supportive mother of Phillip ( Ruth) of Parma, Rita Cervenak ( Charlie:deceased) of Parma, and Larry ( Kathy) of Parma Heights; dear grandmother of nine; great-grandmother of five; and sister of the late Florence Springer and Joseph Jirka. Berenice was a volunteer at Parma Community Hospital for 40 years starting the first year the hospital opened. She was an avid reader of history, romance novels, and newspapers. A West Tech High School graduate who was active for many years at the Southland Y.W.C. A. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Earl and actively participating in the senior’s group at St. Charles Parish. Berenice passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Prayers at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 9:45 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 5891 Ridge Rd., Parma at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
