Barbara "Bobbie" Hickey-Sims-Waggoner, age 83, of Elnora, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Elnora, Indiana on August 15, 1929, the daughter of Maurice & Laura (Morgan) Hickey. She was a graduate from Indiana State
Teachers College and taught music for 40+ years in the area schools. She was a member of the Elnora United Methodist Church. she organized and
directed the Eta Chapter of Elnora, IN, TRIAD Inc., she was a devoted and active member of the Eastern Star, serving as either organist or Worthy
Matron for 25 years, she also served a Deputy of District 2 and she did genealogy research for the local cemeteries.
Barbara is survived by: 2 step-daughters, Diane (Jack) White of Loogootee, IN and Starlyn Sims of Huston, TX and a step-son: Richard L. (Judy) Sims
of Belton, KY., 7 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Poindexter-McClure /Odon Chapel with Rev. Debbie Payne officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday Jan. 29th,.
