Arthur Floyd Agnew, Jr., 65, of Dryden formerly of Columbiaville, died Saturday, December 22, 2012. Arthur was born June 12, 1947 in Flint to parents Arthur and Evelyn (Charpie) Agnew, Sr. He was a graduate of Lapeer High School, Class of 1965. Then, he married Vickie Wendler on November 8, 1967 in Pontiac. Mr. Agnew proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, were her returned a Purple Heart recipient as well as other decorations. Arthur was a work-oholic; he drove truck most of his life. He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Vickie Agnew, children: Richard (Melissa) Agnew of Lutz, FL, Anthony Agnew of Oxford, Michelle (Jeffrey) Sutherland of Oxford, grandchildren: Ashley (& Julius), Makala, J.P., Alexis, Alyssa, great-grandson: Aiden, sister: Aletta Agnew of GA as well as many nieces & nephews. Mr. Agnew was preceded in death by his sister: Carmen Agnew and his parents. Visitation will be 1-8pm Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. There will be a military Honor Guard Salute, 2:00pm that afternoon, under the auspices of the American Legion Post #16 Honor Guard. www.MuirBrothersLapeer.com
