Armando Aleman Obituary

Armando "Mandy" Aleman, age 40, passed away on December 20, 2012. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 12, 1972 at 12:13 p.m. to Alicia Hinojosa Aleman and Delfino Miguel Aleman, deceased.

Armando attended Corpus Christi public schools graduating from Mary Carroll High School, Class of 1990. He was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Corpus Christi where he attended as a child and youth. Armando earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with Texas Teacher Certification in Music Education, grades Pk-12. He was a Suzuki-trained guitarist with certification from the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Armando's passion was music. He loved making it and he loved teaching it, especially to children. Armando served as the Suzuki Guitar Teacher at The Carter Academy Magnet School of Fine Arts for Aldine ISD, Music Teacher at The Marshall Academy Magnet School of Fine Arts for Houston ISD, Guitar and Bass Instructor at The Northwest School of Music and at North Park YMCA in Austin, Texas. Armando believed that everyone, especially children, needed opportunities to express themselves in a personal way. He will always be remembered for his loving heart, gentleness, witty sayings, sensitive spirit, devotion to family, and spiritual nature. His nephew and nieces will always cherish the special memories of their "Tio Mandy" and miss his playful and loveable ways. When Armando made friends, you had a friend for life.

Armando "Mandy" was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He is survived by his loving Mother, Alicia H. Aleman; brothers, Delfino & Melissa Aleman, Edward "Eddie"& Debbie Aleman; sisters, Nora Aleman, Asenette Aleman, and Lisa Aleman Moralez; nephew, Joshua Vera; nieces, Lauren Moralez, Jenifer Moralez, Lucia Aleman, and Sarai Aleman, many cousins and great friends. We shed tears of sorrow and joy because we will miss Mandy and he is now in the Lord's Paradise.
