ROBERTS, Marvin Jim "J.R." 53, of Clearwater, passed away January 28, 2013.

Jim retired from the Palm Harbor Fire Department, worked for Sunstar EMS, and more recently for Carson's Pest Control.

Jim was parishioner of Skycrest Baptist Church, a Boy Scout, and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Jim graduated from Dunedin High school and Forestry School in Lake City. He later graduated from the Hillsborough County Fire Academy and Hernando Community College with where he received his certification as a paramedic.

J.R. was preceded in death by his mother, Mary A. Roberts, and granddaughter Carlei Cook.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, LaRon; daughter Ashlei and son-in-law, Cary Cook; father Marvin Roberts, Sr. and Marvin's companion Florence Nance.

The family will receive friends on Saturday February 2nd from 10 am to 11 am at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin immediately following visitation beginning at 11 am.
