Uncle Bruce and family,

Well, first off, I don't really know you. For some reason I didn't get the opportunity to know you. I did exchange a couple emails with Julie several years ago, and I know you raised some fine children. That speaks a lot for the kind of person you are. Regrettably this is the first email I have sent you. Over the past few months, I have known a couple people to have close calls, and a friend who I didn't connect with who lost his life. I don't want to to have to think about that any more. I am going to reach out to those family members who I have no talked to in a long time, and I am going to get to know them. Or at least try. It's terrible owning those "what ifs" and "what coulda's"
My mother spoke very highly of you, and I can see where I get some of my family good looks. My deepest condolences to my cousins. I can't begin to imagine what you are going through. When you are ready, I would love to start a dialogue.
Uncle Bruce, I may not have known you, but I had frequent updates from my mom, and I feel like I knew you a bit. While having Hundley as a middle name was not so much fun when I was younger, I am proud of it today.

I love you Uncle Bruce, have a wicked journey to whatever lay next

I was heart broken to hear about the passing of Bruce. Just know he is in the Lord's loving arms. A man who will always be remembered by me, smiling and laughing when walking into the Rectory and Church. A very humble soul and His countless hours helping out in the church will never beforgotten. Anytime I asked how Marissa was doing his face would light right up and a huge smile across his face....she was very loved by him. Just know Nancy you & Marissa are in my prayers. I love you both, Kim Matteson
