Tribute & Message From The Family

Theodore "Ted" Vance Crosley, Sr, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013, at the age of 71.

He was the beloved husband for 48 years of Georjean Pumnea Crosley; and loving father of Thea Crolsey Wall (Ralph) and Theodore "Todd" Vance Crosley, Jr. (Anne Cusimano). "Shooz" was the cherished grandfather of Sheridan, Richmond and Cameron Wall and Ellie, Ty and Katherine Crosley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Wade Crosley and Delores Leer Crosley.

Ted was born and raised in Fairmount, Indiana. He was awarded his Doctor of Science degree in Environmental Health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He attended Purdue University and received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from Ball State.

He served as the Chief of Air Pollution Control for Hammond, IN, Department Chair for Environmental Sciences for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and returned to New Orleans to serve as Chief Environmental Engineer for Avondale Shipyards. He was also former owner of The Wooden Box Packing & Shipping Company and True Brew Café & Theatre.

His hobbies throughout his life included farming, spelunking, woodworking, bluegrass music and he was an active member of the Arkansas Jaycees.

Retired for many years, Ted enjoyed volunteering at the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and most importantly being a guiding light in his grandchildren's lives.

A memorial service will be held at the West Point Church, 664 Behrman Hwy, in Gretna, Louisiana at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013.
