Dear Bill and Family, We send our most sincere Sympathy and prayers for all at this sad time! We both knew Shirley as co-worker and as a friend---but most of all admired her as an outstanding Mother and energetic and happy soul! We know she will be missed and will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Barbe and Jim Dabbelt

Bill & Family,
We are thinking of you and send our heartfelt sympathy. We remember Shirley as always brightening a room with her wonderful sense of humor. It was hard to be around Shirley without having a smile on your face.
We’re grateful that we were able to spend some time with Shirley so recently at the cousins’ get-together. She was a remarkable person whom we all looked up to as the eldest cousin and a wonderful human being.

To all Shirley's family and friends: Shirley always had a smile for everyone. She certainly will be missed but surely she is enjoying a higher realm in Heaven. We were thankful to have spoken with her just weeks ago as she helped us bid farewell to brother, Paul. She and Bill raised a wonderful family. We are so sorry for your loss. Jim and Connie Fleck

Lisa: So sorry to hear about your mom. I have very happy memories of spending time at your house. Your mom was always working at something but shared a sweet sweet smile when ever you looked her way. We got into our share of trouble between the army jeep, boat and rv but she never said a word, just smiled. Cherish the memories that you have as they will help you through this very difficult time. Please pass my sympathy to the rest of your family.

Our hearts were saddened Monday to learn of dear Shirley's passing. She was such a good person, inside and out, that we will miss her. Bill and Shirley always made the time to visit us on their annual trips to the west coast. We looked forward to seeing them and hearing about all of the family. She was always able to entertain us and make us laugh. We all missed the annual visit this year. Bill and family, remember how

The Mertz Family
So sorry to hear about Shirley…she was one of the nicest and such a wonderful and fun person to be around. Loved being around her when I was with Kathy and maybe some of the other sisters just hanging. I remember being at the farm for a corn roast…that was a great time…just some beers and corn…with many laughs. Spending time with Shirley, Kathy and I believe Deb singing to Garth Brooks when they all were in Colorado.

To Connie, so sorry to hear about your sister, Shirley. I could always tell you were sisters by the smiles you two always seemed to wear. To Mike and Kathy, you and your families have our deepest condolences. To the entire Bill Mertz family, may memories soothe and comfort you always.
