Memories & Candles
During the late 70's, I was in graduate school at California Institute of the Arts and living in California for the first time in my life. I was so grateful that my Aunt Mary (sister to my mother, Dorothy) and Uncle Jim lived in San Pedro and I had some family to visit and spend good times with. One of the most fun times was when they took me out on a sailboat with friends of theirs and I got

We extend our heartfelt prayers for Mary at the death of Jim. He was such a strong, confident, cheerful, and faithful friend. We treasure the memories of Jim and Mary during their years as neighbors in Woodmoor and members of the Monument Community Presbyterian Church.

Aunt Mary, we want you to know that our thoughts are with you at this time. I also want you to know that when I was a teacher, I remember talking to uncle Jim on the phone about his experiences in world war II and sharing that information with my students who were studying about pearl harbor at that time. It was a great conversation with uncle Jim.
All our love, Jeff, Marissa and Lauren

Mary, It was just last week I was thinking and reminiscing about the dress shop and the good times we all had. Wonderful memories. So sorry to hear about Jim. You two were a very lovely and happy couple wherever you went. Our Love and Prayers to you and your family. Grace & Jim Smith

Jim and Mary were such a loving and wonderful couple, and were a pleasure to be around. Whenever i was with them, their love for each other was so obvious, and they were so happy together. Another friend and I took Mary out to lunch recently, and I invited Jim to go with us. He declined, but we surprised him, and sent fresh, hot dessert home with Mary just for Jim. I am sure the reason Mary always has a smile on her face is because she was still so in love with her Jim. Your friend,
