Mrs. Janis Corley Mack

CHAPIN Services for Janis Inabinet Corley Mack, 88, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1811 Dutch Fork Road, Irmo, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens, Columbia. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at the church fellowship hall prior to the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Mack, wife of the late Marvey E. Mack, died peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2013, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Springfield, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Martin and Carrie Mae Inabinet Corley. She graduated from Springfield High School and soon after became employed by Southern Bell Telephone Company where she spent a total of 38 loyal years. She retired as a lifelong member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Janis had an appreciation for antiques and collectibles and enjoyed living on Lake Murray with her family. Since moving to the Chapin area, she was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Jan Mack and Victor Gonzalez of Chapin; loving granddaughters, Veronica and Carmen Gonzalez, both of Chapin; special sister-in-law, Pearl Corley of Columbia; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, John Lewis Corley, Doris Corley Todd, H. Herman Corley and Harry Corley.
The family wishes to thank her internist, Dr. James Herman and his staff for their special care during her later years; also, Linda Shanabrook and Tonya Gillion of Brook Health Care, LLC of Chapin.
