Memories & Candles
Barbara was my second mom! Growing up on Manistique was always fun at the Friedlunds....Richard on the piano and Barb playing games. Sleeping on the balcony was the coolest as they were the only house that had the balcony!
Barb will me missed by many as she was loved by everyone. Richard is probably playing the piano waiting for her arrival and Barb has her cards with her, ready for a round.
My feeling go out to the family, but our

My deepest condolences to the family. I remember many childhood visits to Barbara and Dick's home. My brothers Steven, David and I, remember Barbara was always warm and welcoming with a big smile on her face. Her husband Dick was never far away with the same welcoming heart - and ready for a little mischief... I always think of that home as being full of love and laughter.
I hope the family will find comfort in the abundance of wonderful memories they must have. We will remember her well.
Love,
Julie (Sergent) Spenceley

Growing up as kids, our families were very close. Many, many visits were made back and forth and as has been said, "A good time was had by all".
I got a call from Barb three weeks ago. She informed me of her coming demise and that she was making out her "people to call" list. We communicated several times a year.
There was no better person on Gods' green earth than Barbara.
May she rest in peace.
To her family members I can only say I am so sorry for your loss.

This was one amazing woman! She was very loving and caring to all mankind. Her children and grandchildren, I am sure are very proud. She will be missed by many. I wish there were more people like Barb on this planet. Then, we could all live in peace and love. My deepest condolences to the family.

I was able to witness how the Friedlund family pulled together and took care of their mother...it was the most beautiful thing I have witnessed! They had 24 hour care for aunt barb with them all taking turns spending day and night, cleaning for her, taking care of all her needs. The average person never would have received this kind of care, this kind of love. Aunt Barb was not the average person. She had the ability to talk to
