My Dearest Lanny,

I little knew that morning, God was going to call your name,
In life I loved you dearly, in death I'll do the same.

It breaks my heart to lose you, but you did not go alone,
For a part of me went with you, the day God called you home.

You left me beautiful memories, your love is still my guide,
And though I cannot see you, I know you're at my side.

Our family chain is broken and will never be the same,
But God will call us one by one, and the chain will link again.

Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Memories & Candles

I am saddened as I have only just learned of the passing of Lanny and am trying to process the information. I. I grew up living just two doors away from Lanny. I am flooded with so many memories of Santa Barbara trips and family get -togethers. My heart felt sympathy is with Carol and family. I can't imagine the sorrow you all must feel. I will remember him always and pray for him as he makes his journey into eternal life.

Well Lanny we had alot of good times together when we were all younger and you did a wonderful job putting up wall paper in my dining room. I was glad I got to see you off and on over the last few years. you will truley be missed by all that new you. My heart goes out to Carol and Lanny's Children.God bless you all.

My dad is and was the greatest man I have ever known, and I am forever proud to be his daughter. He was so strong. There are few people in this world who can tell it like it is, and be ok with that. My dad was one of them, and thankfully so am I. I have never felt scared or been unable to face anything because my mom and dad instilled in me that knowledge and strength. Things are the way they are, and as long as you work hard and be a good person, you will get through it.
