Sad to hear this awful news. When I worked at Madison Township Dave Yaney was one of the only people who always stuck by me. From one Veteran Brother to another God's speed.

David's mother and I were friends for many years. David was a wonderful person and family man. Although, I only saw him at coffee stops the last few years, we still had a lot to talk about. David did his community proud and he will be missed by all who knew him. Beth, children, Steve, and Tony, so sorry for your loss.

You were one of a kind Dave, no one will ever replace you. I remember you from the first time you started at Madison Twp PD, you were different, my parents respected and admired you and always spoke highly of you. Officer Yaney was my favorite Cop at the city of Trotwood. I first met him when I was 16 yrs old , when I worked at Dunkin Donuts on Salem Ave. (over 30 yrs. ago) My husband worked at the City of Trotwood Service Dept for 16 years, and loved him as well.
He will be missed so very much. He was a great man and friend to many.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
