Deepest Sympathy to Wally's family and friends from everyone here at Clearview Brain Injury Center. Wally touched many lives here during his short stay and provided many smiles! He was blesed with an amazing family that obviously loved him very dearly. We all feel fortunate to have known Wally and call him friend. God's Blessings!

My deepest sympathies to the Fhlug family during this difficult time of loss. Wally, you will be very missed... I can remember being 8 or 10 years old and biking up Hickory Hills Road to my Uncle Bob's house---and there you were, almost every time. You seemed to have an endless supply of quarters in your pocket, and when you saw me, you'd "pull one out from behind my ear." I'd laugh and you were tickled pink to pull one

You were a one of a kind guy. Always thinking of others before yourself and happy just to get a good home cooked meal. I loved cooking meals for you, you loved food especially goof balls. You put endless miles on that bike of yours. So now put on your dancing shoes, have a beer, tell lot of stories, and entertain my Dad he liked polkas also. I'm happy I got to know you, you made me see that you can enjoy your life to the fullest even when you have a handicap. Your Friend, Nancy Mitchell

Hey Wally. I'll miss coming home & not being able to hear any of your stories. I always got a good chuckle hearing them. The next beer I have or the next polka song I hear I'll be thinking of you. R.I.P. Wally.

Never a dull moment with you Wally!! From requesting "Out behind the bar" with WMBE every week, or driving your bike out to help us on the farm. Your memories here with us will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Fhlug family. Play us a Polka and drink a beer for us in heaven.

Wally was on my grade school bus just outside of Jericho. One winter he made the bus driver so made because he brought snowballs on the bus and threw them from the back! The bus driver made him fess up and he had to sit in the front row as a high schooler. A different time, he gave his shoes away to another kid, then came up and secretly told the bus driver that someone stole his shoes from right

Oh Wally you could be such a stinker, but you really were a lovable guy. I remember so many different times with you. We had lots of chats, gave you many rides to wherever you were heading. You will be a hard one to forget because everytime I hear a polka I will see your smiling face and you keeping up with each one played. Rest now and be in peace.

My sympathy goes out to the Fhlug and Tasch family. Such a kind soul. There was never a dull moment when you would talk with Wally. As Kelly said the Farm isn't going to be the same with him. RIP Wally.
