Memories & Candles
Hi, Carol. I am so sorry to hear about Joe. I will always remember him as Joey. I have fond memories of all of us playing together as kids on Lowell street. It was always so exciting driving to Vandergrift to visit our family. But seeing all the cousins was the best part of the trip. Joey was my age, so he was very special. He was happy, had kind words for everyone, and always found time for us when we visited. I have not seen him in years but will miss him anyway.

Hi Carol,
I am so sad to hear about Joe. I had not heard about his death and am shocked.
I would see him come into the YMCA in New Kensington and he loved the pool there. He would swim in the fall and winter and then quit to swim at the Vandergrift Pool and then come back to the Y when the Vandergrift closed. We will miss him at the Y.

All of us here at Pittsburgh Corning, where Joe worked as a guard for many years, are deeply saddened by the news. He was part of the family. My deepest sympathies.

My deepest condolances. He truly was such a pleasant fellow. I may not have seen him very often, but when we ran into each other, he made me feel as though it was just yesterday. Will always remember his smile.

Carol, so sorry for your loss. I last saw Joey at the Italian Festival in Aug. He would always stop and talk. This brings back alot of childhood memories, again so sorry.

I was very saddened to hear of Joe's passing today. Although we did not have much contact for several years now I find myself thinking of the times we had growing up together. Your family has my deepest sympathy.
