Memories & Candles
Grief never ends....it changes. It is not a place to stay, it is a passage. Grief is not a sign of weakness or a lack of faith....it is the price of love.
Forever in my heart, one year later. Dec 7, 2013

It's been one year. I think of you every single day!
Those we love don't go away
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near.
Still loved, still missed.
Forever in my heart!

In My Heart
I thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday
And days before that too.
I think of you in silence,
I often speak your name
Now all I have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake
With which I'll never part
God has you in his keeping
I have you in my heart.

Missing You Always
You never said I'm leaving
You never said Good-bye,
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why.
A million times I needed you
A million times I cried,
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still,
In my heart I hold a place
That only you can fill.
It broke my heart to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
As part of me went with you
The day God took you home.

Until We Meet Again
Those special memories of you,
will always make me smile,
If only I could have you back,
for just a little while.
Then we could sit and talk again,
just like we used to do,
You always meant so much to me,
and always will do too.
The fact that you're no longer here,
will always cause me pain,
but you're forever in my heart,
Until we meet again.
I miss you my dear sweet man!

I'm trying to find words for such sudden grief.. all I can think of is for you to remember all the good years you had together. It helps me at times when I recall my husband's sudden death last year after nearly 50 years together. I'm sure they're both in a good place.

Vicki, I'm so terribly sorry to hear about Jim. There are no words to say to ease this current pain for you. We know that absence from us is presence with our Lord, but it is the absence from us about which we grieve. Know that the loving arms of God are wrapped around you at this moment and that all of us whose pleasure it is to know you through Small Paws are holding you high in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

My heart hurts for you, I am so sorry.
I have fond memories of Jim and Rick playing guitars on my porch at a bash, with Rick's uncle playing either guitar or banjo. Beautiful music was made that day.
I am so sorry for you loss. Jim was taken much too soon.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

There are no words that I can say, he is in a better place.
