Bonnie and family, Rex is a great friend and we had a great time at work and having fun on the golf course. When I came by last time he looked at peace and I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Rex will be missed by many and I will never forget his sense of humor and smile. God bless Brooks

I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with Rex and get to know him. He was a truly wonderful man and touched everyone he met. I still listen to the beach music mix CD he made for me and think of him each time.
My deepest sympathy and prayers are with your family.

Rex Williams rests peacefully, once and for all, in the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ having finally attained the Gift of Eternal Life. Rex battled with ALS for several years. I imagine Rex prayed often for many of you and his prayer may have sounded something like this:

It has been an honor to have your trust as a member of your health care team. Rex was a good man and one of my all time favorite patients. You will all be missed at Duke in our ALS clinic. Thank you for continuing to fight this disease that Rex fought so well and for so long.
Love,
Candace

My deepest sympathies to all of you. Rex was my boss at Raleigh Federal and he was the greatest boss I've ever had. We remained in touch all the years since RFSB. He had a heart of gold. I always felt blessed that my path crossed with Rex.

Dear Bonnie, Greyson and Taylor: I was so sorry to read about your dear, sweet husband/dad's passing. He was truly a gift and I know how much you are all going to miss him. Please take some time and remember all the good times that you shared and, hopefully, it will help ease some of the pain. My thought and prayers are with you. Love, Anne Stempler
