I was sitting at the computer and Jim popped into my head. I decided to look him up and was devastated to find out he has passed. I lost touch with him some time ago and have always regretted it. He will always hold a very special place in my heart and Trenton too. I have a son his age. I am also sorry to hear about Erma. She was always so kind to me.

I just got the news. Jimmy, although we had grown apart recently, I hold fond memories of you. Hanging out as kids, band practices in the basement, going shooting at the range, best man at my wedding, a disasterous stag party, argueing the finer points of military history, and some not so fond memories. All I know, and will carry with me the rest of my days is that, under it all, you and I were good friends and you will be missed. I trust God will help you find the peace you needed.
