Russell Kniss, Jr.

Russell Kniss, Jr., age 71, of Dillsburg, passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. He was born August 12, 1938 in Hagerstown, Maryland, the son of the late Russell H., Sr. & Pauline M. Brown Kniss. Russell was the retired Head custodian for the Northern Elementary School, Dillsburg having worked there for 24 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Doris M. Hollinger Kniss. His daughter: Kathleen M. Kniss, of Mechanicsburg. His brother: Richard Kniss, of Idaville. His sisters: Edna Crider and Betty Speelman, both of Mechanicsburg; Darlene Faith, of Big Pool, MD and Joyce Keffer, of Perry, FL. A memorial service will be held Thursday, 11:00 am, March 4, 2010 at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA with the Reverend Clarence Dupert officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Burial in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Road, will be held at the convenience of the family.
